Wow! That was just bad. They say it’s premium beer at a discount price. It tastes like old beer that they put back in the fridge. All malts, and gross ones at that.

Not a fan at all. I went from Hacker-Pschorr Weisse to this. That, my friends, it quite the fall.

This is another actual trappist beer, made by monks, in the monkery.  We liked Chimay, and since then have picked up the other two varieties they make. So when the wife brought this one home, I was kinda looking forward to it.

This guy poured out just as dark and cloudy as Chimay with just as much sediment. It smelled a little different though. We could smell banana and something else that we couldn’t put our finger on. It had a banana taste to it to, made it pretty sweet.  The more we drank of it, the drier it got.

This was the last beer of the night, and I think that was a good thing. It was sweet, dry and high in ABV. Anything that would have come after that would have sucked.

Low carbs, low ABV, low price! I’m pretty sure I’ve had clear before, but this is version 2.0, which I think came from a marketing meeting held in 1997.

This beer poured out, well, pretty clear. It had lots of bubbles and head and a standard beer smell. It tastes like pretty much every other light ale, except that there was no beer booty and it was actually kinda refreshing.

Not a bad beer at all. I wouldn’t buy a case of it, but I’d pick it up again if I see it around and I’m thirsty.

Does every cheap beer come in an ice version?

To be honest, this is the best of the Busch beers. It’s still not the greatest beer in the world, but at least I didn’t get instant gut rot like I do with Busch Light.  Even if this was the first beer of the night, I would have liked it. It was crisp and light, but had a little more malt than the other ones.

So apparently I like a full Busch and an icy Busch………
